Handmade Christmas

I wanted to handmake a lot of our Christmas gifts this year. I started sewing in November and was able to make a lot of my gifts. I enjoyed sewing so many gifts this year and I enjoyed giving them even more! I made these little stationary holders out of a vintage table cloth my mom had given me a few months back. The table cloth had many stains and holes but I was able to still use a lot of the material. I gave these stationary holders to my mom, my aunts and many of my friends.

Thank You Clay!

Clay drew me a beautiful picture this year for Christmas. He is so creative and talented and I absolutely love what he made for me.This picture is of us on our wedding day surrounded by our wedding party. As of right now it is thumb tacked to the wall in our living room until we can save up for framing! Thank you Clay for this special gift.

First Hair Cut!

Well, I decided to let my wonderful friend lisa cut Rev's hair today. While Lisa was getting all her supplies out, her daughter Elise quickly jumped on the stool and pretended to cut Rev's hair. I had to grab a quick picture!!

Handmade Craft Fair

My wonderful friend Odette had her second annual holiday handmade craft fair yesterday. I have been busy the past few weeks sewing and making homemade granola for the sale. This year I sold colored pencil holders, little stuffed owls out of all my material scraps and homemade organic granola. I have a few pencil rolls left and a few owls left if anyone wants one. The pencil rolls are 8.00 and the owls are 4.00. Thanks Odette for a fun day!

Patch for Debi's Ergo

About a year ago I made a bird patch for my Ergo Baby Carrier. I had visited my friend in Oregon and all the Ergo Wearing Mamas have cool patches and decor on their Ergos so I was inspired! My cool friend Debi asked if I would make one for her Ergo. I hope you are enjoying your little Owl Debi!

A friend showed me this video by John Piper. He filmed this before the election and I thought he made some very good points.

Wassail Fest and Natalie's Birthday!

Wassail Fest was really fun last night on the square. I will have to say that Circa 77 had the best Wassail out there! Christina made fresh wassail with organic apples in her juicer! It was amazing Christina!! I think The Hydrant was my second favorite. Afterwards we had a big birthday party at our house for Natalie Drew. Jenny picked up two little cakes from Bochy's that were so yummy! Rev made Natalie wear "the birthday hat" all night. Happy Birthday Natalie! I had to include this funny picture of Clay, what is he doing?????

Our Christmas Tree

We went out Sunday night and purchased a real christmas tree. We love buying real trees because they make the house smell so wonderful and its just fun having a live tree in our house! Rev and I have been enjoying watering it everyday together. We had fun putting up the lights and Rev really enjoyed getting out all our ornaments. I have enjoyed sitting in our living room at night with a fire going and looking at our beautiful little tree. Thank you God for Christmas time, traditions, wonderfully scented little trees, hot tea, cold weather and of most importantly, thank you for Jesus.
